" On the face of the moon is a door (and there are several more doors depicted in the artwork of The Blue Room). To me, this is representative of an invitation to delve deeper into each of our (the Womacks) individual personalities. The songs on the whole are of a more honest and personal nature on this album, and it marks the first writing contribution from the Beatmaster himself, Cory Webb. The voices, thoughts, and feelings of all four members are represented here. I feel that this album is special, it marks a sort of quickening as we settle into our roles in this life as providers of music . And our roles as four local yokels from the little town of Norwalk, Ohio. We love both roles very much. "
- Noah Heyman on "The Blue Room"

"Bloodline Blues" on Vinyl!

In November 2011, the Womacks had the privilege taking part in a very unique musical experience. Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) has a recording arts and technologies department (R.A.T.), which allows the students to get hands on experience in the field of music technology via live performance, studio recording, and videography. This version of "Bloodline Blues" was taken from the Womacks live performance at Tri-C and was put on a 45rpm vinyl! On the "B" side is another great Ohio based group called Shivering Timbers with their tune "Anna Lee". These are available in limited quantities so hop on over to the store page to get your copy today!

Chris Castle and The WFB went to Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY to record "Last Bird Home", a collection of Castle's tunes from 2007-2011. The record featured a musical cast that included Garth Hudson (The Band), Tommy Ramone (The Ramones), Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan), and more. For more information on Chris Castle and Last Bird Home, head to Dirtsandwich.com

From Chestnut EP Now Available

The Womacks' latest collection of songs, 'From Chestnut',  is now available through most major online distributors, including usual suspects such as iTunesAmazoneMusic, and Rhapsody. You can also order them directly from us via our store page, or you can purchase one at any of our live shows.

'From Chestnut', named after the street that the Womacks call home, features five new songs delivered in a stripped-back fashion. If you listen closely, you'll notice that our debut album had around 25 or so different instruments on it, but 'From Chestnut' leans toward the more traditional guitar-based lineup. You can tell that we're a four-piece, which is cool, we think.  We're proud of the songs and of the EP as a whole, and we think you'll enjoy it, plus it's cheap at $5 a pop. A hearty wootie woo!
